Anybody buying Marvel Icons?

Looks like the exact same Wolverine Gareee...and at one per case of four, I'm not that surprised.

TB's next wave is Spider-man and Beast.

So TB series 3 comes out 3 months before HB series I?? Wonder what's in TB series III?

I think it's FAR to early for ANOTHER Wolverine Icons figure, when there are SO many deserving characters out there, like say, 12" Icons Comic Thing.

I LOVE Venom, even though I'm lukewarm on the character, and I'll get getting a second to do a 12" Spawn from him.

IMHO Icons are one of the BEST things fo come in 2006, along with the Balrog.

I could use a good 12" Spidey, and Beast should be interesting... maybe I'll be able to cobble him into a 12" Icons Man-Thing, like I did with the old toybiz 10" beast?

I just hope hasbro has a brain, and decideds to continue the Icons line.. it's exactly what I've been looking for for years.

Oh, snap. I thought they were around $20 a piece. Yeah, that still makes the case price a little high, but the $15 makes it truly sucktacular.

Weel, based on Mike's review, I'll be on the lookout. I wasn't sure whether they were solid, roto, or what. I hear the Hulk has roto parts, but in light of the size, I suppose that is understandable. Maybe I will grab a Cap and Iron Man just so I will have the three godheads of the Avengers when Thor comes out...

Ive got Venom, Wolverine (masked and unmasked), Cpt America (unmasked, hopefully getting the other soon), Gold Ironman, yellow Ironman and the reg green Hulk. havent seen the variant Venom or the variant Hulk or the masked Cpt America ANYWHERE yet.

overall I think they're pretty damn cool. tons of articulation, they stand great, paints good on mine.
the only weird on is the unmasked Cpt America. He looks like a Ken doll on steroids.

oh and they're pretty heavy figures. I could be wrong but they dont seem like any of the rotos figs I already have

From what I've heard and read they are solid not rotocast.I have seen masked and unmasked Cap and Wolverine.The green Hulk and the regular Venom.I will have to get Thor when he comes out as well.I plan on doing a custom 12" fig of him anyway when I get the time but I like the Icons too.I may also get the Hulk not sure yet.I collect 1/6th scale figs and these fit right in for some customizing and straight out of the box.

No, they're not roto except for some of Hulk's rather large parts. Hey, stop thinking that!

They're just big ML's, which is pretty cool in itself.
